Today 3-10-2007 a seminar on adverse effectS of advertising organized by pantjali yogpit HARIDWAR and media study department. THIS SEMINAR WAS STARTED WITH ‘DEEP PREJEVLIT’.CHIEF GUEST OF THIS SEMINAR WAS PROF .R.S JAGLAN PRESENT REGISTRAR OF G.J.U&S.T AND MAIN SPEAKER WAS DR.RAJIV DIXIT.ON THIS OCCASSION PROF. J.K.SHRAMA, RAKESH MITTAL,DR.BANDANA PANDEY SENIOR LECTURER OF(AD&PR DEPARTMENT),AND RESPECTED DEAN &CHAIRPERSON OF DEPARTMENT DR.MANOJ DAYAL ALL OF THESE ALONG WITH DR.RAJIV DIXIT PRESENTED THEIR VIEWS.
Dr. BANDANA PANDEY ENLIGHTENED ON BY SAYING THAT AD IS AN EFFECTIVE MEDIUM.ADVERTISEMENT CREATS DESIRE OR INFLUENCE THE BUYING BEHAVIOUR OF CONSUMER.SHE ALSO SAID AD. GIVES MORE INFORMATION.BUT NOW A DAYS ADVERTISEMENT CONTAINS A LOTS OF FALSE INFORMATION ALSO. ADVERSMENT HAS TWO PHASE ONE IS POSITIVE AND ANOTHER ONE IS NEGETIVE. IN THAT VIEW AD. AFFECTS IN BOTH WAYS BUT IT DEPENDS ON THE MENTALITY OF CONSUMER HOW HE TAKES IT.
THE HEAD SPEAKER DR. RAJIV DIXIT STRONGLY CRITISIED MNC(COCA - COLA&PEPSI) BY SAYING “THANDA MEANS TOILET CLEANER” INSTEAD OF THANDA MATLAB COCA COLA .SO PEOPLE SHOULD PREFER TO SQUASH, LASSI,ORANGE JUICE & GRAPES JUICE. HE ADVISED TO BOYCOTT ALL PRODUCTS LIKE MAGGI,SOAP,SURF OF FOREIGN BASED COMPANIES. THE EXPENDITURE INCURRED IN MAKING FAIR&LOVELY CREAM IS JUST 90 PAISA ONLY AND IT HAS BEEN SOLD AT A RATE OF 1600/- KG HE CRITISIZED THAT IF FAIR & LOVELY IS HAVING THIS MUCH EFFECT THEN IT SHOULD BE TESTED ON BUFFALOS.
